Arsenal boss Arteta rules out Thomas Partey for Tottenham derby clash

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is not sure if he can call on midfielder Thomas Partey for their next Premier League game.

The Gunners are coming off another poor result, this time a 2-1 home defeat to Wolves on Sunday.

It means they are still in the bottom half of the table, losing ground on the top four teams.

When asked during his press conference about Partey's fitness, Arteta said: "I don't think he will be with us in the next few games."

Partey is suffering from a thigh problem, which has kept him out of the team since their 3-0 loss to Aston Villa.

The central midfielder was targeting a return for next Sunday's North London Derby against Tottenham, but that may be beyond him at the moment.
