Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has refused to comment on rumours linking the club with Thomas Partey.
The Atletico Madrid midfielder is reportedly Arsenal's top transfer target.
Partey has a £45m release clause in his current contract, but Arteta wasn't budging when asked if the Gunners would pursue the Ghana international.
Speaking ahead of Saturday's clash with Wolves, the Spaniard said: "I cannot talk about being interested in any players that are playing in any team that is not ours, sorry."
Atleti brought Partey thought their youth ranks and watched him develop into a star under Diego Simeone.
The 27-year-old has made 180 over five seasons with the Spanish giants.
