Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is planning a surprise tactical move for today's FA Cup final against Chelsea.
Arteta is considering starting Maitland-Niles for Arsenal, says the Daily Star.
The youngster impressed in the semi-final win over Manchester City and also featured in the final game of the Premier League season against Watford.
Arteta faces a dilemma going into the Wembley clash with centre-back Shkodran Mustafi out, meaning he may have to reshuffle his pack.
His most likely option is to move usual left-back Kieran Tierney into a centre-back role playing in a three, with Maitland-Niles utilised as a left wing back.
Elsewhere, Arteta must decide between Nicolas Pepe and teenage prospect Bukayo Saka in the starting line-up, although the latter could play left wing back in order to get Pepe into the team.
