Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta says he learned from Sam Allardyce in the past.

Arteta was asked about the new Leeds manager yesterday.

He said, "I learned from numerous coaches, even from Sam when I played against his teams.

"For a foreign manager it is important to learn.

"The English have in a certain sense kept the essence of the game and Sam definitely played a big part in that."
