Arsenal boss Arteta fires 'commitment' warning at skipper Aubameyang

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has warned his captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang over his contract stand-off.

Aubameyang is stalling over a new contract at Arsenal with little over a year remaining on his current deal.

Arsenal could be forced to sell their captain this summer if he has no intentions of penning fresh terms, but Arteta's stance is clear, after insisting he only wants committed players in his ranks.

Speaking of potential transfer targets in the coming window, Arteta told Gunners legend Ian Wright: "The moment we mention Arsenal you know what it means around the world.

"Everybody wants to come here. We have a very clear idea of what we are. It doesn't need much convincing and if they do then it's not a good starting point.

"If I have to convince a player to stay or join us then I am a little bit …. it holds me back a little bit."
