Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta blanked his players after last week's defeat at home to Burnley.
The Gunners did slightly better on Wednesday, managing a 1-1 draw against Southampton despite centre-back Gabriel's second half red card.
The result against Burnley was arguably the most disappointing one of the whole season, however, and according to The Athletic Arteta was so furious with the performance from his players that he did not give a team talk following the full-time whistle.
Instead, he waited until the next day at training to launch an inquest and hold a meeting with his squad to discuss exactly where things were going wrong.
Arsenal are still languishing down in 15th position in the table going into the weekend's trip to face Everton.
