Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is delighted with the versatility of Ainsley Maitland-Niles after victory over Rapid Vienna.
Maitland-Niles has been used as a wing-back on both the right and left by Arteta this season but started in his favoured central midfield role against Vienna.
The 23-year-old impressed in the win and Arteta admitted that "he has a chance" of breaking into the Premier League side, having not started a game in that competition since September.
When asked about Maitland-Niles in his post-match press conference, the Spaniard said: "What he's done today the great thing with Ainsley is that he can fill various positions and that's a great thing to have around the squad.
"He's played on the left as a wing back, he's played on the right, he's played as a holding midfielder, he can play as an attacking midfielder. And again, the sort of performances tonight helps, and he has a chance to play like everybody else."
