Arsenal boost in Bosman battle for PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot

Arsenal have received a boost in their Bosman battle for PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

The Mirror says Arsenal's chances of signing Rabiot this summer have dramatically increased as Barcelona have ended their pursuit of the Frenchman, according to reports.

Rabiot is set to leave Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer at the end of the season after failing to nail down a place in the first team under Thomas Tuchel.

Barcelona were favourites to land the midfielder, and were strongly linked with him in the January transfer window.

But the deal never materialised, and Barcelona ended up splashing the cash to land Ajax's Frenkie De Jong, who will link up with his new team-mates at the end of the season.

As a result of getting the De Jong transfer over the line, Barcelona are reportedly no longer interested in signing Rabiot, leaving the pathway clear for Arsenal.
