Arsenal cannot recall Calum Chambers from his loan at Fulham this month.

The Mirror says the Gunners have been hit with a defensive crisis ahead of the visit of Cardiff on Tuesday night.

Some Arsenal fans have also called on the club to recall Chambers from his loan at Fulham.

The 24-year-old has been deployed in a holding midfield role by Claudio Ranieri and has turned in some impressive performances.

But there is no chance of him returning to the Emirates this month.

There is no clause in the loan agreement that would allow the Gunners to recall Chambers, even if they managed to persuade Fulham to let him go.
