Arsenal are emerging as serious contenders to sign Sporting CP youngster Nuno Mendes.

The left-back has impressed since being promoted to the Sporting first team.

He has played 11 games for the club, and got his first league goal recently against Portimonense.

Mendes is only 18, and has a £40.8 million price tag on his shoulders.

According to Calciomercato, Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool all want to sign him.

His deal at Sporting runs until 2025, which means the club is under no pressure to sell him for a low fee.
