Arsenal attacker Lacazette relieved to end goal drought: Everyone helped me

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette admits that breaking his goal scoring drought was a significant moment.

The Frenchman has struggled in front of goal for the Gunners this season.

But he finally found the back of the net against Newcastle United in a convincing home win recently.

And he could not hide his delight at bagging that goal.

"There is a pressure but it's more about me because I want to score and I want to help my team," he told the club website.

"Obviously I'm a striker but I'm not only here to score goals. I have to help the team to defend, to build up the game. For me it's not the best thing when I'm not scoring, but [the staff and my team-mates] helped me through this.

"I really enjoyed my goal against Newcastle, because it was a long time that I didn't score. And obviously, the way my team-mates celebrated with me showed the mentality that we have now in the group. So it's only positive things about this group."
