Arsenal assistant coach Nicolas Jover highlighted after victory at Crystal Palace

Arsenal assistant coach Nicolas Jover is being highlighted after victory at Crystal Palace.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta recruited the French set-piece coach after they finished the 2020-21 season with the fourth-worst record from dead-ball situations, scoring only six goals.

Having spent three years at Brentford and gaining experience at Montpellier, Jover enjoyed two terms working under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City from the summer of 2019 onwards.

Jover made an instant impact at Arsenal last term, taking their tally in the Premier League to 16. And they're already off the mark this season, with a well-worked routine scoring their first goal against Palace and demonstrating the tactician's set-piece acumen.

When the Gunners earned a corner in the 20th minute of their Premier League opener, Bukayo Saka knew to spot Oleks Zinchenko floating in an unorthodox position at the far post, delivering a deep ball towards him to head back across goal for Gabriel Martinelli to finish.
