Arsenal are closing on a deal for Brazilian teen Gabriel Martinelli.
The Daily Mail says Arsenal have identified Martinelli, who playes for Ituano, as their first summer signing and the right-sided attacking player is now on the verge of committing himself to the London club.
The 17-year-old has had trials with Manchester United.
But the Gunners have reached a verbal agreement and will pay around £5m for the striker. Martinelli currently plies his trade with Brazilian outfit Ituano and Arsenal have been keeping tabs on his progress.
It is suggested the move will be made official within the next few weeks with Arsenal waiting for Martinelli to obtain an Italian passport.
