Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney has given Scotland fans reason for optimism with a social media post.

The left-back is likely out for the remainder of the Premier League season with a knee injury.

He had an operation on his knee, which he stated on social media has gone very smoothly.

Scotland fans will be hoping Tierney can get himself fit for their World Cup Qualifying Play-Off game and Nations League clashes in June.

Tierney said through an Instagram story: "Op went well.
