Portland Timbers striker Diego Valeri is urging Chelsea striker Radamel Falcao to join him in MLS.

The pair played together at Porto and Valeri is aware of Falcao's problems this season in London.

Valeri told Le 10 Sport: "I am convinced, because of the relationship we have, that Falcao would like to live in America and play in MLS."

Fellow Argie Federico Higuain, of Columbus Crew, would also welcome the Monaco-owned striker to the US.

"He could play at the highest level in MLS. We are talking about a great striker."
