Fiorentina midfielder Alberto Aquilani believes they can still reach the automatic Champions League places.
The Viola are chasing third-placed Napoli, though suffered a blow on Sunday with defeat to Lazio.
Aquilani said: "We played a bad game, this was not up to the usual Fiorentina.
"There can, however, be a decline. A decline in which we have paid for with defeat against Lazio in a game that started badly and ended worse.
"Are we out of the race for third place? There are seven points to Napoli and they are recoverable, we train and we look forward."
