Alberto Aquilani has no regrets over leaving Roma for Liverpool.

The Italy midfielder made his full debut on Saturday in their 2-0 win over Wolves.

"It was difficult to leave Rome, but here with the Reds I have a great opportunity," explained the former Giallorosso.

Liverpool beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 on Boxing Day and Aquilani gave a good display.

"It was a difficult game but I am happy I was able to play for 80 minutes. We are a great team and will climb up the table."
