The agent of Alberto Aquilani has declared Roma see the young midfielder as a key part of their future.

Franco Zavaglia said: "His contract expires in 2010 and for the moment there's no meeting planned with the club. Of course, Alberto is an important player, outstanding, and the day that we meet, Roma certainly will reserve the treatment of respect.

"(Executive director) Rosella Sensi, on his contract has spoken clearly, they want Alberto Aquilani as part of their project."
