American financial giant Aon Corp is set to become new shirt sponsors of Manchester United.
United, whose £14m-a-year deal with discredited insurance company AIG runs out in June 2010, have been scouring the globe for a major sponsor to replace AIG for the start of the 2010/11 campaign.
And the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Aon, a Chicago-based global financial services company, could announce a partnership with United as early as today.
United are refusing to comment on the reports, but it is understood that the deal could be worth £20m-a-year for the Premier League champions.
