Chelsea boss Antonio Conte says his team building plans won't bring success overnight.

Conte spoke with La Domenica Sportiva in a long interview on Sunday.

On Chelsea, he stated: "The goal is to build something positive for the present and for the future.

"The problems are not solved overnight, and the tenth place in the standings last year teaches you the need to work hard to improve things.

"We are trying."

Conte also commented on Graziano Pelle's banishment from the Italy squad.

"I was very upset, because I've known him for a long time. He may yet return to the national team in the future."
