Newcastle United midfielder Vurnon Anita admits the dressing room had communication problems last season.

Anita is convinced the better lines of communication can only help Newcastle's players as they look to put the disappointment of last season behind them.

He said: "The communication is much better now too, everybody can speak English now as well, so it is easier for everybody to communicate with each other and with the supporters.

"We have had six months now to know each other as a group, we know each other better. We have no excuse this season to too badly. It has to be good."
