Angry Romero to enter Woodward talks upon Man Utd return

Sergio Romero remains angry over the way he's been treated by Manchester United.

The Daily Star says Romero is seething with United bosses after finding out on social media he had been axed from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Premier League squad post the summer transfer window.

It is the latest kick in the teeth for the Argentine goalkeeper as his United career comes to a shuddering halt.

Romero, 33, has found himself frozen out at Old Trafford since making his last appearance for United in their Europa League quarter final win over Copenhagen in August.

Romero is said to be "baffled and angry" about how United have treated him in recent weeks and is hoping the club allow him leave on a free transfer in return for him agreeing to terminate the remainder of his £100,00-a-week deal.

Romero has been self-isolating following his return to Manchester from Argentina, but is expected back at Carrington next week when he will seek urgent talks with Solskaer and executive vice chairman Ed Woodward.
