Andy King urges Leicester to set transfer heights higher

Andy King has urged former club Leicester City to buy world-class players and solidify their place in the top-six.

The Foxes faltered after the restart to slip out of the top-four, but still booked themselves in the Europa League by finishing fifth.

And King thinks Leicester, who he left this summer, are in a position to kick on under Brendan Rodgers.

"The manager they've got in now is an exceptional manager," King told Sky Sports. "He's done a brilliant job pretty much wherever he's been.

"The lads all buy in to what he's doing. They believe in him 100 per cent, they believe in his methods 100 per cent.

"I think it's an attractive club in terms of signing players and the club they're trying to create. They've got some of the best young players in the country now. It's a club only on an onward trajectory.

"They've qualified for Europe this year which is an unbelievable achievement. With that brings the opportunity to sign European and world-class players, because they really want European football. Now is the time to kick on and really cement the top six."
