Andriy Lunin asks Real Madrid to let him stay with Leganes

Leganes goalkeeper Andriy Lunin is reluctant to return to parent club Real Madrid this month.

While he is playing understudy to regular goalkeeper "Pichu" Cuéllar, Lunin is happy in his surroundings in the Madrid suburbs where he has forged an excellent relationship with the rest of the "Lega" squad and goalkeeping coach Joseba Ituarte.

As such, reports AS, Lunin has requested to stay at Butarque through to the end of the 2018/19 season.

Lunin has played 274 minutes of competitive football with Leganes so far this season.
