Norwegian talent Andreas Schjelderup has turned down Liverpool for a second time.

The Reds are very eager to sign the 18-year-old who has impressed for Nordsjaelland since arriving from Bodo/Glimt in 2020.

Even though the player is a self-confessed Liverpool fan, he appears to be heading for Benfica.

Per Norwegian outlet TV2, Benfica's recruitment team will be arriving in Copenhagen this week to sort out the transfer.

The teenager will be offered a five-and-a-half-year deal by Benfica, with the Portuguese giants seen as the ideal place to nurture his talent.

Even though a move to the Premier League is tempting, he may believe his best chance at regular football is with Benfica.
