Andreas Pereira: My best goal for Man Utd

Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira was delighted with his goal in their 2-2 draw against friendly opponents Brentford.

The 25-year-old struck the ball so sweetly, watching it fly towards the top-right corner, thwack off the inside of the woodwork and in, before running towards the Stretford End to celebrate.

“I think that's my best goal, yeah," Pereira admitted to MUTV post-match. “As soon as Jesse hit it, it came off the goalkeeper and I thought 'I might have a chance here' and as soon as I hit it, it felt good straight away.

“It was a nice feeling, having the fans back in and scoring the goal."

He added: “It was a good performance. I think we did better than in the last game against QPR. We are improving and that's what we do; we have to focus, keep our head down and play better each game before the start of the season.

“We're training very hard. Training has been very good. As you can see, we're improving, players are coming back in. We have a good mixture with the young guys as well.

“We just have to keep our heads down, train a lot, listen to the manager and everything will be fine. I enjoy it – training is good and it's fun to be back in Manchester, I'm enjoying every day."
