Anderlecht icon Michel Verschueren has dismissed talk of Vincent Kompany being lost to Burnley.

The Manchester City legend is being linked with the Clarets manager's job after their sacking of Sean Dyche.

However, Verschueren is confident the post won't tempt Kompany.

He posted to social media: "You shouldn't believe that (Burnley rumours).

"Vincent will stay at Anderlecht for a few more years."
