Anderlecht chief Verschueren concedes big regrets signing Nasri

Former Manchester City and Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri has been told he's not wanted at Anderlecht.

Nasri joined Anderlecht as a free agent on a mooted €6m salary, but injuries have restricted him to just seven appearances so far this season.

The situation has left management frustrated, particularly given the team's on-field struggles this season.

Indeed, Anderlecht sporting director Michael Verschueren made clear his disappointment when speaking with Dernière Heure.

“Again, would we have signed Samir Nasri? With what we know now, no...," he stated.
