Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is expected to test AC Milan's resolve over Andrea Pirlo.

The Times says Carlo Ancelotti, who is set to be confirmed as Blues manager this week, has recommended that Chelsea try to bring Pirlo with him to Stamford Bridge.

But it is unclear whether Milan would be willing to sell, although a healthy offer could convince given Pirlo now is the wrong side of 30.
