Ancelotti tells disgruntled Everton players: There's the door!

Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti says anyone who is not happy at the club is free to leave.

The Toffees have all but missed out on European qualification this season, primarily due to their poor home form.

They are in ninth place in the Premier League, and could finish as high as sixth if results go their way in the final days of the campaign.

Ancelotti laid into his players after they lost to relegated Sheffield United at home on Sunday.

"I don't want to have players here who are unhappy," Ancelotti said to reporters.

"If there are some players that are not happy to stay where they can ask to leave.

"I want to have players that want to stay at Everton and feel part of this project.

"That is for all players. There is no player I can force to stay here. But I told them this recently. They know. If someone is not happy they have to leave.

"An unhappy player is not going to be a good part of this project."
