Ancelotti set to turn down Chelsea job for Milan stay

Despite strong reports that AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti would be joining Chelsea in the summer, the 49 year old has hinted he will remain with the Italian club next season. Ancelotti told the Italian media: "I am not awaiting any signal from the club on my future. I have an excellent rapport with Milan and I did not request a contract extension because there is no need.

"Chelsea know full well that I have another year on my contract. It's true my English could be better, but it's not about the language.

"We've talked it over with the club and everything is very clear. I have a contract and I think it will continue - it's all there in black and white.

"With Hiddink's situation it is only natural that rumours fly, just as it is normal Chelsea are seeking a good coach, but they know I am staying here now.

"We'll talk about my future with the club later on. These are decisions that must be taken together and I don't think there is any need to get into an argument. We'll reach an agreement.

"So much has been said and written about this, but I have spoken to the club and for us the situation is very clear."
