Real Madrid president Florentino Perez admits ignoring Cristiano Ronaldo to sack Carlo Ancelotti.

Ronaldo had tweeted his support for Ancelotti on the weekend.

Asked about the tweet, Perez said: "The affection that the players and the fans have for Carlo, is the same as the affection I myself have for him. I wasn't annoyed by it, I think it's right that the players should express their feelings. It's an affectionate gesture."

Perez admits he hadn't informed Ronaldo and the squad's leaders of his decision.

"I have not informed them. There will be a time to talk to them."
