Ancelotti frustrated after Napoli defeat FC Zurich

Napoli coach Carlo Ancelotti was left frustrated after their 3-1 Europa League first-leg win over FC Zurich on Thursday.

Lorenzo Insigne, Jose Callejon and Piotr Zielinski got the goals, but Benjamin Kololli converted a late penalty to keep the tie alive.

"Europe is always special. We did pretty well, it's a good result," Ancelotti told Sky Sport Italia.

“We attacked well, the finishing was a bit better than against Fiorentina, but we still could've scored a lot more goals and created so many opportunities.

“We lost our focus a little towards the end. I must say the pitch was bad and the ball even worse. It's very light and has a different trajectory to the one used in the Champions League or Serie A. If UEFA want to build up the Europa League, they should start by doing something about the ball.

“Insigne and Zielinski positions are the keys to our approach. They play between the lines and we found them more for direct attacks largely because Allan and Fabian were being pressed. I think those roles suit them and their characteristics."
