Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti admits everyone at the club is very sad about the injury suffered by Jean-Philippe Gbamin.
The midfielder sustained a knee injury in training a few days after he came back from a previous injury absence.
The Ivorian could now be out for an extended period, and Ancelotti spoke about the situation after his side's 0-0 draw with Brighton in the Premier League on Monday.
"Listen, we are really, really sad [about Gbamin's knee injury] because he was training well, showing good quality and was happy," said Ancelotti about the 25-year-old, per the club website.
"He's going to have a scan. I don't know how long but for sure the season for him is finished but he's a really strong guy and I hope he can recover soon and play.
"Digne fell down on his knee unfortunately and I think he has a medial ligament problem."
