Amiens striker Serhou Guirassy is on the radar of Aston Villa.
The Daily Mail says Guirassy has scored four goals and provided one assist for the Ligue 1 side this season after arriving from Bundesliga club FC Koln for £5m last summer.
But Amiens are thought to be willing to sell the 23-year-old for the right price in January or the summer transfer window.
Amiens have asked agent Mark McKay to sound out potential interest from England and Villa's response has been positive.
Leicester City are also said to be monitoring Guirassy, who is under contract at Amiens until 2022.
