Former Fiorentina midfielder Daniele Amerini says Stefano Pioli should be kept on at Inter Milan.

Amerini played with Pioli at Fiorentina and Modena.

He told TMW: "The future of Pioli? He's doing great things, has given Inter the beautiful game.

"He deserves confirmation, it will be hard to get in the top three, but given the precedents the Nerazzurri would be wrong to let him go at the end of season.

"Football is strange, there's a special dynamic. If a coach like (Antonio) Conte or (Diego) Simeone was available, Inter surely would think, although it would be an injustice against Pioli."
