An American billionaire is interested in buying English Championship club Derby County.

The CEO of Dell Technologies, Michael Dell, is reportedly in talks to buy the team.

Dell has a net worth of more than $30 billion, and has reportedly discussed investment with the club's owner Mel Morris.

The Telegraphsuggests that the Texas businessman wants to invest in the team over the coming years.

Derby have been looking for a source of funds in the past two years, and previously held talks with English businessman Henry Gabay.

The Rams are not likely to gain promotion this season, but they are hoping to build a team capable of getting into the top flight in the coming years.

Former Manchester United star Wayne Rooney is their most high profile player.
