Everton's new signing Yannick Bolasie has insisted that it is ambition and not money which has inspired his move to the Toffees.

The 27-year-old joined the Toffees in a £25million move from Crystal Palace on Monday, signing a five-year deal with the Merseyside club, but says his desire to win rather than a nice pay packet is the main reason for the shift to Goodison Park.

"For me, it was a no-brainer to come here," he told the club's official website.

"It's not about the money for me. It's about looking at the ambition of the club and where they are trying to get to.

"This season is going to be very interesting and I'm looking forward to being part of it here at Everton."
