Amazing Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah breaks new 102-year record

Liverpool ace Mohamed Salah broke another record in defeat to FA Cup opponents West Brom on Saturday.

Salah's second-half goal may ultimately have proven futile as the Reds looked to drag themselves back into the fourth round tie against West Bromwich Albion.

But it was another notable step in the Egyptian's remarkable Anfield career.

Salah's strike was his 25 of the season in 32 in games in all competitions – making him the fastest Liverpool player to achieve such a feat in 102 years, says the Liverpool Echo.

The Reds forward had previously matched Roger Hunt's club-record total for number of goals in a season before New Year's Day with 23, as well as equalling Daniel Sturridge's achievement of reaching 10 Premier League goals in only his first 13 games in the competition for the Reds.
