Inter Milan hero Alessandro Altobelli says Mauro Icardi would be crazy to leave San Siro.

Icardi has been linked with Real Madrid and Manchester United in recent weeks, but Altobelli insists the best place for the Argentine is Inter.

"I think that Inter intends to continue the adventure with Icardi and I hope that Icardi has also wanted to marry the project of Inter," said Altobelli, who played for over 12 years with Inter.

"He must understand that representing Inter is something that does not happen to a lot of players. I refused many great offers to stay at Inter and I hope he will do the same. The leaders are working to set up a competitive team that can give Icardi and the fans the satisfaction they expect."
