Aloisi nets again as Fowler and Thompson double goal tallies

The race for the 2009/10 A-League Golden Boot heated up on the weekend with tearaway leader Shane Smeltz unable to add to his tally. Sydney FC veteran John Aloisi moved to equal-second after his header against Wellington Phoenix whilst Melbourne Victory's Archie Thompson and North Queensland Fury's Robbie Fowler both netted to move to two goals.

Perth Glory's Serbian import Branko Jelic opened up his account with a double against Melbourne Victory, as did Adelaide United's Lucas Pantelis who performed brilliantly in Travis Dodd's absence.
