Almeria coach Rubi insists Villarreal shouldn't hold a grudge against Unai Emery.
Emery has left Villarreal for Aston Villa this week. He has since been replaced by Quique Setien.
Rubi said, “Players and coaches are merchandise. When someone gets involved a thousand percent and that is not valued, it means that sometimes you have to have a cold mind and make the decisions that you consider appropriate.
"There are clauses in the contracts and the contracts are also being fulfilled there. The same thing you want to be in a place, you lose three games and you are no longer there. Even if you don't want to, we are merchandise.
"But I'm not going to change, I'm always going to give a thousand per thousand wherever I am and defending the shield to the death. From Espanyol I went to Betis with a contract. I left my house because I understood that there were situations that did not correspond to what we deserved. The bad guy isn't always the coach."
