Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce will not step down as manager if the club are relegated from the top flight. "There is bound to be doubt about my future unless I get them out of trouble and keep them in the Premier League," Allardyce told the Lancashire Telegraph.
"That is my remit and if I don't do that I expect my position would come under scrutiny.
"I would not expect anything else. A contract makes no difference whatsoever anyway.
"If you are not wholeheartedly behind the football club then the club is not going to stand in your way.
"You do what you think is right for you and the football club.
"I certainly don't see myself walking away, if the worst happens.
"We don't talk about that worst-case scenario, but hypothetically if it happened I don't see it from my side of things."
