Allardyce unconvinced by Solskjaer: Man Utd must wait

Former England coach Sam Allardyce remains unconvinced by Manchester United caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Allardyce has urged United to wait until the summer, suggesting they make an informed decision at the end of the season.

“His honeymoon period has been the best I've ever known any manager have," he told talkSPORT.

“I went six games unbeaten when I first went to Everton, but Ole won eight on the trot, drew one and won two more games before slipping up in the Champions League against PSG.

“So yes, you'd say he's done enough at the moment.

“It's all going alright so why do anything? Why upset the apple cart?

“Wait until the end of the season and see what the situation is then, and I'm sure that's what Manchester United are doing.

“I'm sure Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would love the club to say, 'yes you can have the job now and we'll sort it out'.

“But it's a big, big decision for Manchester United. The next manager has to be right.

“Ole has got all the right credentials in terms of his history with the club, but he's still lacking managerial experience."
