Sam Allardyce is considering suing Mel Stein following the agent's comments comparing him to paedophile Jimmy Savile, according to the Daily Star.

Allardyce has been roundly criticised after being caught up in a sting conducted by the English newspaper the Daily Telegraph but agent Mel Stein's comments comparing the ex-Sunderland boss to disgraced entertainer Savile has arguably taken the criticism a bit too far.

Former England boss Allardyce is understandably unhappy with the comments from Stein and according to reports, claims have been made that the 61-year-old is considering legal action against the agent on the grounds of 'defamation of character'.
