Crystal Palace boss Sam Allardyce is adamant that Bakary Sako is staying for at least the rest of the season to help them fight for Premier League survival.
The new Eagles boss has confirmed that the club rejected a £4m bid from ChampionshipBirmingham City for the midfielder.
But Allardyce said: "Bakary Sako has expressed a wish to stay and fight, and help Crystal Palace stay in the Premier League."
Allardyce also said he is not trying to sign Motherwell striker Louis Moult or Rennes winger Paul-Georges Ntep.
But of their January business, he said: "I think we'll start with one and see how much that costs us.
"Then we'll go to the next one and see how much that costs us, and then the next one, until the chairman says we've got no more money. Then we'll stop."
