Allardyce could receive £1m despite disgraced England exit

Sam Allardyce is set to receive a compensation package of a whopping £1million despite his controversial exit as manager of the England national team.

Allardyce left his England post on Tuesday after only 67 days as he was caught up in a corruption scandal and the manner of the 61-year-old's departure can only be described as 'disgraceful'.

Despite the failed tenure, the Daily Mirror have revealed that Allardyce is set to receive £1m from the FA and that the high severance fee was 'instrumental' in the former Bolton, Newcastle United, Blackburn Rovers, West Ham United and Sunderland boss agreeing to his exit as England manager.
