Allardyce chasing Leicester job

Former England coach Sam Allardyce is keen on the job at Leicester City.

Sky Sports says Allardyce is interested in becoming the next Leicester manager, according to reports.

He would consider succeeding Claude Puel at the King Power Stadium.

Puel was sacked after Saturday's 4-1 home defeat to Crystal Palace and said his goodbyes to the players before training on Sunday morning before leaving to allow caretaker managers Mike Stowell and Adam Sadler to oversea preparations for tomorrow night's visit of Brighton and Hove Albion.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers is the odds on favourite for the role, with Rafa Benitiez and Roberto Martinez also linked.
