Alisson Becker will give up the No13 shirt at Liverpool next season.

Liverpool have confirmed that Alisson Becker will be given the No1 shirt next season.

The Brazilian goalkeeper had been playing in the No13 jersey after the Reds decided Loris Karius would keep his kit number for the 2018/19 campaign before the latter was sent out on a two-year loan to Besiktas.

But as part of their new official New Balance kit launch and his sensational performances between the sticks this season, Liverpool have decided to award Alisson with the famous goalkeepers shirt number after his £65million move from Roma in the summer.

"I'm incredibly impressed by the style of this season's goalkeeper jersey - it will really stand out on the pitch and will look great alongside the home kit," Alisson said.
