Rangers are closing in on a deal to sign French-born Algerian wide midfielder Salim Kerkar, reports BBC Sport. The 23-year-old has impressed on trial at Ibrox and his representatives are currently in talks with the Glasgow side to complete a move.
He is the younger brother of the Algeria international Karim Kerkar and is also friends with Rangers centre-back Madjid Bougherra.
He rejected moves to St Mirren and St Johnstone before returning to the Middle East.
